CleanSpace ("the app") is a storage cleaning and management application for Android developed by CodeByIzza. This policy explains what information the app accesses, how it is used, and how it is protected.

Summary

CleanSpace is designed to work primarily on your device. Most features do not send your personal files or data anywhere. Where a feature does interact with an external service (such as Google Drive backup or push notifications), that is described explicitly below.

Information the App Accesses

Depending on which features you use, CleanSpace may request access to:

• Storage and files — to scan for large files, duplicate or blurry photos, APK installers, and WhatsApp media so you can review and delete them.
• Photos — to detect duplicate and blurry images.
• Contacts — to detect and merge duplicate contact entries. This only happens if you open the Duplicate Contacts feature and grant permission.
• App usage data — to identify apps you haven't opened recently, for the Unused Apps feature. This requires a special Android permission (Usage Access) that you must explicitly grant in system settings.
• Notification permission — to show local reminders (such as low storage alerts) and push notifications (such as app announcements).

All of the above stays on your device. CleanSpace does not upload your files, photos, or contacts to any server operated by the developer.

Google Drive Backup (Optional, Pro Feature)

If you choose to enable Cloud Backup, CleanSpace will ask you to sign in with your Google account and grant limited access to your Google Drive, specifically the ability to create and manage files that the app itself uploads (Google's drive.file scope). This scope does not give the app access to your existing Drive files or any other Google data.

When enabled, photos you choose to delete are uploaded to a folder named "CleanSpace Backups" inside your own Google Drive account before being removed from your device. These files are stored under your Google account, governed by Google's own privacy policy, and are not accessible to the developer of CleanSpace.

You can disconnect this feature at any time from the Cloud Backup screen in the app, or by revoking CleanSpace's access directly from your Google Account permissions page.

Data Deletion

You can delete the data CleanSpace is associated with at any time, in the following ways:

• Local app data (settings, scan history, Pro purchase status) — uninstalling CleanSpace from your device permanently deletes this data, as it is stored only in the app's local storage and is never sent to the developer.
• Google Drive backup files — files CleanSpace has uploaded to the "CleanSpace Backups" folder in your Google Drive remain under your control. You can delete them at any time directly from the Google Drive app or drive.google.com, the same way you would delete any other file in your Drive.
• Google account access — you can revoke CleanSpace's permission to access your Google Drive at any time by disconnecting it from the Cloud Backup screen in the app, or by visiting myaccount.google.com/permissions and removing CleanSpace's access. Revoking access does not delete files already backed up; delete those separately from Google Drive as described above.

Because CleanSpace does not operate its own servers or databases, the developer does not hold a separate copy of your data that requires a deletion request — deleting the app and/or your Drive backup folder removes all associated data completely.

Firebase Services

CleanSpace uses Google Firebase for a small number of app-configuration and messaging functions:

• Remote Config — used to check for required app updates and to display in-app announcements.
• Cloud Messaging — used to deliver optional push notifications about app updates or announcements.

These services may involve your device receiving a unique messaging token, which is standard for push notification delivery and is not used to identify you personally.

Local Data Storage

Settings, preferences, scan history, and Pro purchase status are stored locally on your device using Android's standard app storage. This data is removed if you uninstall the app.

Data Sharing

CleanSpace does not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. The app does not display third-party ads.

Children's Privacy

CleanSpace is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in the app's features. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
